How it works
Once your order is placed, we arrange a shipping container and provide you with the scheduled loading date and the estimated arrival date of the vessel at the destination port.
You select one of the international shipping terms based on the Incoterms rules:
CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) – The seller covers the cost of transporting the goods and insuring them until they reach the destination port. The buyer becomes responsible for the goods once the container arrives at their port.
DAP (Delivered at Place) – The seller is responsible for preparing and transporting the goods to the specified location and covers any transport-related risks. The buyer is responsible for taxes, duties, and unloading the shipment upon arrival.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) – The seller assumes full responsibility for delivering the goods to the final destination, including paying all export/import duties, fees, and taxes.
Once everything is finalized, we prepare the final invoice, packing list, and all customs documentation.
If you selected the CIF option, we’ll prepare all necessary documents for your customs broker so they can retrieve the container from the port.
If you do not have a customs broker, let us know — we’ll connect you with a trusted contact in the U.S. who can assist with customs clearance, port fees, and transportation to your specified location.
When the container arrives at your warehouse, you will need to unload the windows. A forklift or ramp will be required. The carrier typically allows 4–6 hours for unloading before the empty container must be returned to the port.
As you can see, the entire process is much easier than it might seem at first. Now it’s time to enjoy your new windows from Europe.
Don’t forget to place your next order as soon as possible!
